Budget 2019/20 and Priorities Consultation

Closed 17 Jan 2019

Opened 11 Dec 2018

Our 2018 Residents Survey has provided us with valuable information on a range of issues including how residents view the area, how satisfied people are with our services, which services are most and least important to people, and whether people would be prepared for the Council’s share of Council Tax to go up to protect services. The result of the Residents Survey have helped shape our draft priorities and approach to meeting the financial challenge.

To supplement the feedback we received from the residents’ survey and help us make decisions when we come to set our budget for 2019/20, this consultation provides an opportunity for you to review and comment on the Council’s new draft priorities, its approach to meeting the budget challenges ahead and proposed Council Tax and fees and charges increases.

Why we are consulting

We want to hear your views on the approach we are taking to help us make decisions when we come to set our budget and priorities for 2019/20 and beyond, so please take the time to read about our proposed plans and have your say.

Please read the documents below before answering the questions. They are our budget consultation document for 2019/20 and our draft Council Plan for 2019-2023.
