Overview

This consultation provides an opportunity for you to review and comment on Allerdale Borough Council's approach to meeting the budget challenges ahead, including some possible changes to service delivery and changes to Council Tax.

We have already made savings of over £7.8m over the last six years, but need to do more to find savings or increase our income to address a forecast gap of £2.2m over the next three years.  Whilst addressing our funding pressures we remain determined to do the best for our communities and be a financially sustainable organisation.

What Happens Next

The responses received during the consultation will be analysed and reported to the Executive and to Council.  The draft budget for 2020/21 will be considered by the Executive at their meeting on 19 February 2020 before being presented to full Council in March 2020.
