We have listened to what the public have had to say and what is most important to them. This has helped us to develop four corporate priorities to meet the needs of the people of Eden. The four Corporate Priorities are: Affordable Housing: Ensuring people have access to housing throughout the District Economic Vitality: Ensuring the growth of the economy to benefit the whole of Eden District Quality Environment: Ensuring the sustainability, enhancement and protection of the unique natural and built environment Quality Council: Ensuring the services delivered throughout the District are accessible, meet the needs of customers and are continuously seeking improvement The Council has drafted a new Corporate Plan called ‘Taking Eden Forward’, which will be the driving force behind making sure the priorities are the key focus of how the Council works over the period 2008-2011.
