Overview

Each year we carry out a Business Premises Survey to help provide an up-to-date assessment of the supply and demand of business premises in South Lakeland. This helps us to better plan for how much land we need to allocate for employment uses through our Local Plan. We also use this survey to better understand the opportunities and challenges facing our business community. The survey is targeted at all businesses and organisations with a premises in South Lakeland.

Data Protection Act 2018: The information provided in this survey will be only used for the purposes of the SLDC Business Premises Survey 2022. Your responses are stored electronically on our Business Survey Consultation Database. Access is restricted to the Economy and Culture team and the database is not connected with other databases the Council uses. This information will be held and used in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the requirements of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). We will only use this information for the South Lakeland Business Survey and do not share it with third parties outside of the Council. What happens next

When the results of the survey have been compiled we analyse the findings and the collated results are published on SLDC’s Invest in South Lakeland website: www.investinsouthlakeland.co.uk
