Winscales Community Governance Review

Overview

Allerdale Borough Council is currently undertaking a Community Governance Review of Winscales Parish Council. The review was requested by Winscales Parish Council and the issue we are looking at is whether the parish council should be reduced in terms of councillor numbers or whether it should be dissolved and the area taken into another parish council.  

Having already asked local residents for their initial views we are now consulting on our draft proposals for the future of Winscales Parish Council.  If we do make any changes to Winscales Parish Council they will come into effect in May 2019.
