Consultation on proposed admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools for 2019-20

Closes 13 Nov 2017

Opened 3 Oct 2017

Overview

All schools must have admission arrangements that clearly set out how children will be admitted, including the criteria that will be applied if there are more applications than places available at the school.  Admission arrangements are determined by admission authorities.  Cumbria County Council (the local authority) is the admission authority for all community and voluntary controlled schools in Cumbria.

Why We Are Consulting

The School Admissions Code 2014 requires admission authorities to consult where changes are proposed to admission arrangements which will apply in the following academic year.  For more information, including who admissions authorities need to consult with, please refer to the School Admissions Code at www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-admissions-code--2
