The Licensing Policy was approved by licensing committee and adopted by Council. The relevant report reference is CLS56/10.



The Council is currently undertaking a review of its Statement of Licensing Policy and the new policy, which has been prepared by co-operation with each of the other Cumbrian Councils, will be implemented by January 2011. The draft policy is available from the link below - for ease of reference, the amendments are shown in red. Any comments should be submitted in writing by 18 October 2010 to John Bell, Licensing Officer, Eden District Council, Town Hall, Penrith, CA11 7QF, email admin.licensing@eden.gov.uk using the Response Form available from the link below

Why We Are Consulting

It is a statutory requirement of the Council to review its Statement of Licensing Policy every three years. As part of the review, the Council consults with a range of organisations and responsible bodies and gives residents and businesses in the Eden area the opportunity to comment on the draft policy.
