Why your views matter

A Public consultation is taking place between Monday 11th October and Sunday 28th November on the draft CAAMP to seek your views.

Local knowledge is vital for the preparation of the CAAMP. We are particularly interested in understanding why you think the Appleby conservation area is of special interest and what opportunities you think there are for enhancing the conservation area. We are also interested in your opinion on the changes being considered to the boundary of the conservation area.

Any representations made during the consultation period will be considered and, where appropriate, will be incorporated into the final document.

If you would like more information about the consultation please email Paula Sada/ Eline Malleret at

What happens next

Following this consultation, the Council will collate responses and consider how representations will be best incorporated into the document. The final document will then be presented to our Executive Committee for formal approval and adoption before being published on our website in Spring/Summer 2022.
