Broadgate Meadow play area consultation

Closed 30 Jun 2018

Opened 23 May 2018

Overview

Broadgate Meadow is located on the edge of the village of Grasmere, alongside the River Rothay. It comprises of a play area, adult gym equipment and a large recreation field.

South Lakeland District Council are working with Grasmere Village Society and local parents to raise funds to improve the play area.  The current play area is well used, but is often very muddy making it difficult to access and enjoy playing there.  We would like to improve the drainage and renew the safety surfacing to prevent the muddy areas.  We would also like to renew the equipment so we have an exciting new play area for both locals and visitors to enjoy.

We have a JustGiving page if you would like to help us raise funds. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/grasmerepark

We would like your views about how we can improve the play area.

If you have any queries, would like to request additional copies or would like help taking part please email parks@southlakeland.gov.uk

What Happens Next

The results of the survey will be used to help us with planning the next stage of the improvements including tendering for and designing the new play area.

The results will also be reported on the consultation section of the SLDC website www.southlakeland.gov.uk

Thank you for taking part.
