Kendal Parks play area survey 2017

Closed 30 Oct 2017

Opened 20 Sep 2017

Overview

The play areas known as Kendal Parks currently comprise of Hayclose Crescent, Hayclose Road, Howe Bank and Murley Moss. All four areas are fairly small and offer limited play value, the equipment is now old and worn and some items have been removed as they are no longer fit for use. With more houses planned and being built in this area there is a greater need for the play facilities to be improved for local children.

We would like to create a neighbourhood play area suitable for all ages and abilities offering a great play experience that is exciting and challenging and a toddler space for under-fives. Please let us know your views on how you think we could improve these areas.

If you have any queries, would like to request paper copies or would like help taking part, please contact  Parks on 01539 733333 or email parks@southlakeland.gov.uk

The closing date is 30 October 2017

What Happens Next

The results of the survey will be used to help us with planning the next stage of the improvements including tendering for and designing the new play area.

We will be consulting with residents and groups in the local area on the designs in the autumn.

The results will also be reported on the consultation section of the SLDC website.
