Overview

In 2011 South Lakeland District Council resolved to adpot Schedule 3 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 (as amended by Section 27 of the Policing and Crime Act 2009), so that the provisions for the control of Sexual Entertainment Venues would apply for the areas covered by South Lakland.

Why We Are Consulting

The current Sexual Entertainment Venue (SEV) policy has been in effect since August 2011.

The policy has been reviewed to add sections on relevant locality and children.  Your comments on the addition of these sections would be most welcome.

What Happens Next

The results of the consultation will be fed to the Licensing Regulatory Committee for consideration.
